Dulux Decorator Centre 2025: New Stores Supporting Our Customers
Find out about Dulux Decorator Centre’s new stores for 2025, improved access for customers across the UK, and the practical steps we’re taking to run our stores more efficiently.
In 2025, we strengthened our national network with four new Dulux Decorator Centre stores in Kettering, Walthamstow, Balham, and Stevenage. These locations improve access for customers across the UK and make it easier for decorators and trade professionals to get the products, services, and support they need.
Four new stores supporting local trades and communities.
Our 2025 store proposition focuses on convenience, choice, and efficiency. To support different ways customers shop, our new stores follow two formats.
Fast collection format, Balham and Stevenage
Our Balham and Stevenage stores are designed to help customers collect products quickly and return to the job without delay.
- Online and phone ordering with products prepared in advance
- Fast pick up at the counter or through secure internal lockers
- A strong range of decorating essentials held on site
Balham’s location in the trade estate off Weir Road gives decorators quick access to supplies when they need them.

Traditional retail format, Walthamstow and Kettering
Walthamstow and Kettering offer a traditional retail layout with space to browse and explore products in person.
- Larger sales areas with clear product displays
- Warehouse capacity for high stock availability
- Online and phone ordering with same day collection
Walthamstow’s location just off the North Circular makes it a convenient stop for customers travelling between jobs.
Improving the customer experience, Ashford store relocation
Customer feedback led to an important improvement in Ashford. Access to our previous location became difficult due to traffic which caused queues and restricted entry at peak times. With surrounding units not developing as expected, the area became harder for customers to reach.
To provide a better experience, we moved the store to a busier, well established trade estate close by.
- A sales floor around twice the size of the previous store
- A larger warehouse to support higher stock levels
- Easier access alongside other trade businesses

Our practical sustainability actions
We focus on practical steps that support responsible store operations and give customers straightforward ways to reduce waste.
Can Recycling
By 2025, through our free Paint Can Recycling Scheme, we recycled more than one million paint cans across our UK stores. Customers can return empty cans from any manufacturer to participating locations. Check local store details for accepted container types and preparation requirements.
Heating system updates
We have removed oil fired heating from all stores and replaced it with systems that perform more efficiently for our store operations, including electric and biomass options. Biomass uses processed organic materials as fuel.
Energy efficiency in stores
We are progressing with our plans to replace store lighting with LED systems, with completion targeted by the end of 2026. Stores that have already switched are recording reductions in electricity use, based on internal store data.
Alongside this, updates to gas heating systems and changes in day to day operations helped us achieve a 10 percent reduction in gas usage across our estate for 2022 to 2024, based on internal energy reporting.
Looking ahead
Our 2025 updates, including new stores, improved access, and practical operational changes, reflect our commitment to supporting decorators, contractors, and trade professionals across the UK. We will continue to improve our store network, invest in services that help customers, and look for practical ways to operate responsibly
