All decorative paints

We can accept empty paint cans from all brands where that paint is indicated as being suitable for consumer use.

Simply, if you can pick it up off the shelf in a paint merchant we can recycle the can.

From all customers:

Our can recycling service is available to all customers, trade or general public.

The cans we CAN’T recycle


Cans containing free running wet paint - please ask in store about Community RePaint.

  • Aerosols

  • Cans containing other wastes.

  • Cans that have contained 2 pack polyurethane/isocyanate activated coatings

  • Cans that have contained specialist high performance coating, industrial or marine coatings. Example brands: Cromadex, Jotun*

  • Cans that are unreadable

*Requests for recycling involving this type of product can be facilitated on a case by case basis. Contact your store who will request specialist advice.






Make the world a brighter place by giving leftover paint

If your cans are not empty and contain a usable leftover paint, you could consider giving it to Community Repaint, a paint reuse network sponsored by Dulux.

Customer brings back any branded empty cans (with a lid) or empty can can be collected from site if making a delivery

2.

Cans are returned to the Veolia Material Recovery Facility

3.

Cans are processed at the Veolia Material Recovery Facility

4.

Cans are then recycled and turned into new products
