How we helped bring a Salford community centre back to life

Sutton Community Centre is a community hub in Salford, Greater Manchester that’s served local residents for years. Sadly, during the pandemic it was forced to close its doors. But that gave Dulux Decorator Centre Salford an opportunity to team up with EQUANS, the Clarion Housing Association, and Bagnalls Painting and Decorating Company, to help spruce up the centre.

First Clarion identified the decorating work that needed to be done, then EQUANS tapped up their supply chain to kickstart a collaborative volunteering event. Bagnalls were keen to be involved and got to work in December 2021, doing a great job redecorating both the entrance and the main hall.

The Dulux Decorator Centre Salford team were proud to be able to supply the paint the community centre staff chose to help brighten up the centre. It’s great to see community hubs like this given a new lease of life. And it just goes to show what you can achieve with hard-working volunteers and beautiful Dulux colours.
