Bringing Colour and Creativity to Easterhouse
We were proud to donate paint to FARE Scotland, an amazing charity based in the heart of Easterhouse that runs an allotment project for disadvantaged families and children in the local community.
This space is a lifeline for many, offering opportunities to learn, play, and grow in a safe outdoor environment.
Every week, around 80 children from local nurseries and schools visit the allotment to sow, grow, and harvest.
For many of these children, who don’t have access to outdoor space at home, this is a chance to experience nature and imaginative play.
The DDC Glasgow Team helped with prep work ahead of the creative makeover.
Volunteers also used paint donated by DDC Glasgow to bring the allotment to life, painting colourful characters on boards to place around the site and decorating a donated porta cabin to make it a welcoming hub for the community.
We were blown away by the incredible space that Susan and her volunteers have created.
Their dedication ensures that children have a vibrant, inspiring environment to enjoy, and we are thrilled to have played a small part in making it even brighter.
