Black Friday Event - Final day

Episode 3: Living it up in Luton

The brains behind 2LG, Jordan and Russell, battle it out with Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen for the first time in the series.

Tropicoco flair for Dionne and Aliyaa

As you’d expect, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s living room makeover was a glorious mix of bold paint colours with daring painting techniques.

Behind the TV and fireplace, Laurence painted a sea of Teal Velvet to create a statement feature wall. Can you spot his tropical touches? He added OHP floral drawings using paint pens.

For the remaining walls and woodwork – including the skirting, picture rail and radiator cover – Laurence confidently chose Lilac Orchid to bring a freshness and flair to the space.

Bespoke wallpaper was also integral to Lauren’s design, you can find similar designs in our wallpaper range. Other painting techniques and decorating ideas included a terrazzo effect cabinet, bespoke dining/console table and a wellness room.

Here Comes the Sun for Yvonne and Haneefah

How do you cheer up a dreary living space? With a bright and beautiful colour scheme, of course.

The dynamic duo of 2LG, chose Dulux colours Frosted Papaya and Lemon Zest for the walls and ceiling in this living room. These sunshine shades work beautifully together, adding warmth and joy to the space. Not to mention they look lovely with the natural light spilling in.

2LG then layered the room’s woodwork with dusky ochres, Molten Yellow and Cinnamon Sprinkle. Before creating an ombre effect on the chest of drawers, using Chalk Dust and  Almost Black, for a striking contrast.

But the boys didn’t stop there… the room was adorned with more unique painting techniques and decorating ideas including a stained ply mural wall and a paper mâché lamp!
