Harrogate Community Theatre Refurbishment: A Colourful Contribution from Dulux Decorator Centre

As Harrogate Theatre celebrates its 125th anniversary, just five years behind Dulux Decorator Centre, we are proud to have played a part in revitalising this historic venue through a donation of Dulux products to HOPS Musical Theatre Company. 

The backstage areas, including dressing rooms and corridors, were in urgent need of attention, with flaking paint and outdated facilities. Thanks to the materials we provided, these spaces have been transformed, creating a more welcoming and inspiring environment for performers and staff. 

The impact of the refurbishment was clear during the recent launch night, where we saw firsthand the joy and appreciation from those who use the theatre daily. It was a privilege to witness the difference our contribution has made. 

As part of the renovation, Dulux Decorator Centre now has a permanent presence in the theatre. One of the refurbished dressing rooms has been named The Dulux Room, complete with a commemorative plaque. A second plaque now tells the story of the refurbishment and honours the volunteers and suppliers who made it possible. 

We are delighted that our donation has had such a meaningful impact to the Harrogate Theatre community, and we are especially proud to support the dedicated members of HOPS Musical Theatre Company. It’s a lasting legacy that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and community spirit.
