Helps prevent new mould growth
The mould-resistant formulation helps prevent new growth, but existing mould must be fully treated before decorating. It should not be painted over. The recommended approach is to treat affected areas, address the source of moisture where possible, then choose a finish suited to the environment and monitor for recurrence.
1. Treat
Remove mould fully and address the source of moisture where possible. Polycell Mould Remover is reference for cleaning affected areas, and Aqua UnPrimer is suggested where staining is heavy or persistent.
2. Prevent
After treatment, use a moisture-suitable finish such as Dulux Trade Durable Kitchen & Bathroom Eggshell in high-condensation spaces.
3. Monitor
Keep the area ventilated, manage humidity and check previously affected areas for signs of recurrence.
Leave paint to fully cure before using the area, with at least 48 hours before using a shower.
